#4 Eagles Outplay Lakers on the Road

Estherville, IA- Kirkwood had no problem lighting up the scoreboard in their 94-58 victory over Iowa Lakes Wednesday night in Estherville.

The Eagles (22-2 / 13-1) got things going in the first quarter offensively as they led 30-15 after a quarter of play.
 
Sophomore Demetria Prewitt accounted for 14 of those points in the opening quarter.
 
Kirkwood was able to withstand a late run in the second quarter by Iowa Lakes to lead 46-35 at halftime.
 
Five different Eagles knocked down a three-pointer in the victory, led by freshman Jenna Twedt's five. Kirkwood would go 15-39 (38.5%) from three for the game.
 
Prewitt led the Eagles in scoring, as she matched her career high with 29 points. She also grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds.
 
Twedt finished with 17 points, while freshman Sam Veto added a career-high 11 points off the bench.
 
The Eagles pounded the offensive glass finishing with a season-high 21 offensive rebounds, which led to 23 second-chance points.
 
Kirkwood returns home this Saturday as they host #2 Iowa Western at 1:00 pm in Johnson Hall.
