Twelve players scored, including five in double figures, as top ranked Kirkwood surpassed the century mark in their 104-35 victory over Iowa Lakes Saturday afternoon in Estherville, IA.
 
The Eagles (10-0 /3-0) used a 16-2 run to take control of the game early and never looked back.
 
Sophomore Ellah Kissell came off the bench to go 4-4 from the field and score nine points in the first quarter to help the Eagles take a 32-9 lead after a quarter of play.
 
As they have done all season long, Kirkwood's defense fueled their hot shooting from the field in the second quarter.
 
A steal by sophomore Jenna Twedt and an ensuing lay-up by fellow sophomore Sam Veto gave the Eagles a 52-9 lead midway through the second quarter.
 
Twedt would knock down her third and fourth three-point baskets of the first half on consecutive possessions to give the Eagles a 61-11 lead right before halftime.
 
Kirkwood, who shot 50.0% (20-40) from the floor in the first half, took a comfortable 61-14 lead into the locker room at halftime.
 
The second half resembled much of the first half, as the Eagles locked down Iowa Lakes on the defensive end and continued their blistering hot shooting from the floor on the offensive end.
 
Sophomore Kaliyah Sain connected on her second three pointer of the third quarter to give Kirkwood a 73-16 lead with 6:02 remaining in the quarter.
 
The Eagles would lead 84-28 heading into the fourth quarter and cruised to the victory.
 
Twedt led Kirkwood in scoring with 17 points on 5-10 from three-point range.
 
Kissell, Sain and freshman Kennedy Blakely each scored 12 points.
 
Sophomore Lizzy Puot was the fifth Kirkwood player in double figures with 10 points.
 
Freshman Eva Steffensen added nine points and five rebounds off the bench.
 
Sophomore Ella Pritchard chipped in eight points, while sophomore Jarriah Harris finished with secen and Veto accounted for six points.
 
Puot and Harris both finished with six rebounds to lead Kirkwood in rebounding.
 
 
The Eagles shot 36-72 (50.0%) for the game, including 13-24 (54.2%) from three point range.
 
Kirkwood outrebounded Iowa Lakes 43-27 and outscored them 55-12 in bench points.
 
The Eagles have a bye this Wednesday, but return to action next Saturday, as they host DMACC at 1:00 pm in Johnson Hall.
