Iowa Lakes Basketball Finishes Regular Season Against Kirkwood Eagles

Estherville, Iowa – Friday, March 3, 2017

Iowa Lakes Basketball will play Kirkwood Community College Eagles on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 3:00 PM.  The Lakers will honor their sophomores before the game. 

Currently, the Lakers are 20-8 overall and 7-4 in ICCAC conference play.  The Lakers defeated Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC), 97-89, on Wednesday.  44 of the 97 points scored by the Lakers were from Tywon Bressler Jr. and Streeter McIlravy.  Tywon had 21 points and Streeter had 23 points.  Joe Binyoti contributed 16 points.  Kyle Beisch had 11.  The Lakers look to improve their home record to 12-1. 

Kyle Beisch is leading the Lakers in points for the season with 14.3.  He is shooting 42.7% from the 3 point line.  Sophomores Cody Cox, Mitch Keller, and Tywon Bressler is averaging 14.1, 10.5, and 10.1 ppg respectively.  The Lakers have an 11-1 home record this season and are looking to extend it to 12 against the Eagles this Saturday.   

Iowa Lakes Women's Basketball will host Kirkwood Eagles. Sophomore Lauryn Smith is leading the Lakers with 11.8 ppg.  Freshman Mia Wassink is averaging 10.9 ppg and 9.0 rebound per game (RPG).  Fellow freshman Lemia Ntor-Ue is averaging 10.3 ppg and 6.6 rpg.  They will tip off at 1:00 PM and will honor the sophomores before the game
