Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball will play Iowa Central Community College Tritons on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 7:00 PM.
Currently, the Lakers are 21-8 overall and 8-4 in ICCAC conference play. The Lakers defeated Kirkwood Community College, 101-73, this past Saturday leaving them in 3rd place in the conference. Leading scorers were Kyle Beicsh with 22 points and Dennis Joiner who scored 20 points. Jaylon Tapplar also had an impressive game going 7-10 from the field with 14 points on the day.
The Lakers have a 12-1 home record this season and will be looking to extend it to 13 against Iowa Central in the first round of regionals this Tuesday. The game will tip off at 7:00 PM and doors open at 6:00 PM.
Iowa Lakes Women's Basketball will be playing at DMACC on Tuesday night for the first round of the ICCAC conference tournament. The Lakers are 11-20 on the season and 2-12 in conference play. Sophomore Lauryn Smith is leading the Lakers with 11.8 ppg. Freshman Mia Wassink is averaging 10.9 ppg while also grapping 9.0 rebounds per game. The Lakers have averaged 57 points per game this season and will try to move to 12-20 on the season.
