Lakers take 2 in Norfolk

On friday night in the first game of the Hawks Classic in Norfolk, Nebraska the Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball team took on Central Community College from Columbus, Nebraska. They would win that game 98-77.

The Lakers were led by Brandun Robinson with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Also scoring double figures for the Lakers was Malcolm Clayton, Lamontae Lewis and Sebastian Zehnder with 12, Equan Ards, Solomon Clayton, and Kevin Jennings each had 10. Jennings also added 11 assists.

Central was led by Damien Marquez with 19.

On saturday night in their final game the Lakers would take on NJCAA Division 1 Northeast Community College. The Lakers would get off to a hot start leading at halftime 50-15 and would win that game 96-69.

The Lakers were led by Equan Ards with 23 points. Kevin Jennings addded 15 points, Solomon Clayton had 11, and Brandun Robinson added 10. Malcolm Clayton led the Lakers in rebounds with 9.

The Lakers will travel to Marshalltown to take on Highland Community College on Friday, November 16th. Tip will be at 3pm for that game. There next home game will be November 26th vs. Dakota Wesleyan JV.
