The Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball team defeated 14-2 NJCAA Divison 1 Iowa Western 80-74 to move to 11-4 on the season. The win is the second consecutive win against a NJCAA Division 1 opponent for the Lakers.

The Lakers were led by Solomon Clayton with 22 points and 9 rebounds. Clayton was also 11 of 14 from the floor. Also, scoring in double figures for the Lakers was Kevin Jennings with 16 points, Boston Grimes with 13, and Malcolm Clayton and Jacob Rau with 10.

Iowa Western was led by Travon Broadway with 19 points.

The Lakers will travel to Boone to take on DMACC and resume Iowa Community College Athletic Conference play on Saturday. Tip for that game will be at 3pm.
