Lakers win at 10th ranked NIACC

The 15th ranked Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball team moved to 14-3 on the season and are now 3-1 in Iowa Community College Athletic Conference play with a 108-96 win at 10th ranked NIACC.

The Lakers who found themselves down by 12 points 3 minutes into the game were led by Keshawn Pegues with 25 points and 20 rebounds. Justin Brookens had 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists, Malcolm Clayton had 16 points and 6 rebounds, and Alan Kikwaki added 13 points.

NIACC was led by Wendell Matthews with 29 points.

Head Coach Troy Larson had this to say about the game, "That was a good win for our team against a top team in the country. Our guys played tough after a not so good start and we were able to come away with a victory."

Iowa Lakes will return to action on Sunday January 19th against Dakota Wesleyans JV tip for the game will be at 3 pm
