The Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball defeated the Ellsworth Panthers 95-59 on Saturday to finish 25-5 on the season and 11-3 in Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Play. The win ties an Iowa Lakes record for wins in the regular season.
Iowa Lakes was led by both Justin Brookens and Boston Grimes with 20 points. Brookens also dished out 7 assists. Alan Kikwaki added 14 points, Keshawn Pegues had 11, and Malcolm Clayton added 10. Xavier Evan's led the Lakers with 11 rebounds.
Ellsworth was led by Adam Jackson with 22 points.
With the win, the Lakers will be the 3rd seed in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference tournament. They will host Ellsworth on Tuesday, March, 3rd in first-round action. Tip for that game will be at 7 pm.
