To be considered to be in the top three male athletes is a tremendous accomplishment and a testament to the amount of work JB has put in," commented Coach Larson.

Brookens just completed his sophomore season at Iowa Lakes Community College.  While at Iowa Lakes, he shot 51.7% from the three-point line to finish second in the country.  He was also fifth in the country with a free throw percentage of 87.6%.  He finished fourth nation-wide in made three pointers with 107.  He was named co-ICCAC Player of the Year and earned NJCAA First Team All-American.
