Kikwaki signs with Southeastern Oklahoma State

Estherville, IA. — Iowa Lakes sophomore forward Alan Kikwaki has signed a national letter of intent to play at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. 

Southeastern Oklahoma State is an NCAA Division 2 school out of Durant, Oklahoma. They are coached by Kelley Green. 

Kikwaki, had this to say about his signing. "I'm really excited and blessed to receive a full-ride scholarship! It is one of the goals I told my self to achieve. I am really thankful for what Iowa Lakes brought me in my career, I learned a lot on the court and off the court."

Kikwaki, a native of Brussels Belgium, was named Iowa Community College Athletic Conference Player of the week for the week of January 6th- 12th. He helped lead the Lakers to an overall record of 26-6 and an ICCAC record of 13-3.

Iowa Lakes Head Men's Basketball Coach had this to say about Kikwaki. "Very excited for Alan and his opportunity at Southeastern Oklahoma State University.  Alan worked hard and improved as much as any player that I have coached at Iowa Lakes.  He is ability to play both on the perimeter and the inside makes him a unique prospect.  Excited to see how much better he gets and looking forward to following his career."

Kikwaki, who lists at 6-foot-7 inches, averaged 9.6 points, and 5.1 rebounds  per game as a sophomore.
