Xzavier Jones signs with UM-Crookston

Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball player Xzavier Jones signed his letter of intent to continue his collegiate career at the University of Minnesota-Crookston, a D2 level institution located in Crookston, MN.  

Xzavier will graduate from Iowa Lakes this May. Jones helped the Lakers to a 42-18 record in his two years as a Laker. Jones earned 1st Team All-Conference, and 1st Team NJCAA All American his sophomore year and 2nd team All-Conference his Covid-sophomore year. As a Covid-sophomore Jones averaged 9.6 points per game and 7 rebounds per game. As a sophomore Jones averaged 13.5 points and 7 rebounds.

Jones was a transfer from Northern Michigan (D2).

"I had a great time at Iowa Lakes these past two years. I want to thank the coaching staff and Coach Larson for believing in me and, giving me the opportunity to play the game I love. It was great locking in with my brothers as well. I met guys I will never forget." commented Jones.

"I chose UM-Crookston because I really liked the coaching staff and players," commented Jones.
