Iowa Lakes Basketball player, Anthony Holden has recently signed to continue his athletic and academic careers at Maryville University. He will be studying Communication at the university located in St Louis, Missouri.

Anthony had this to say about choosing Maryville University "Coach Shaw is awesome, made me feel like I was a part of the team already when I was on my visit, and I love the city. Being close to home too is a plus, my parents and come to my games and continue to support me."

Anthony is from Lee Summit, Missouri, where he graduated from St. Michael The Archangel High School. Averaged 20 points 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Anthony played here at Iowa Lakes for two seasons, in his last year he was named 2nd team All-Region, made the All-Tournament Team, and finished 3rd for FG % in our conference, and averaged 11.9 PPG, shot 59.2% from the floor and 44% from 3.

Coach Larson had this to say about Anthony. "Really excited for Ant and his opportunity to be close to home. He has worked extremely hard in the classroom and on the basketball court and is very deserving of this opportunity. I am proud of Ant and he represents what it means to be a Laker"
