Estherville, IA- The Iowa Lakes Men's Basketball team defeated Northeast 109-70 to move to 9-5 overall and 2-3 in Iowa Community College Athletic Conference play.
The Lakers were led by Jade West with 29 points. Jermaine Freeman added 24, and Ashton Hermann added 16. Carlos Goicochea led the Lakers in rebounding with 11.
Northeast was led by Xavier Burns with 10 points.
"Really proud of our guy's effort tonight. We had great life and energy to start the game. It started on the defensive end which led to some transition baskets. We were then able to get in a rhythm on the offense end." Said Laker Head Coach Jason McKinney.
The Lakers will now break for Christmas and will return to action on January 4th when the travel to Southwestern. Tip for that game will be at 3pm.
