The Lakers took to the field to battle the Tigers of Marshalltown Community College. The Lakers came into the game with a 3-1 record while the Tigers looked to bounce back from their defeat to Indian Hills at the weekend. The game began poorly for the Lakers who were down 2-0 at halftime. The Lakers played much better in the second half with sophomore, Freddy Fragozo, hitting the crossbar after a thumping header on goal. The Lakers were unable to get on the board with Marshalltown scoring in the final seconds of the match to make the score 3-0 to the visitors. The Lakers, who fell to 3-2, look to bounce back when they take on NIACC at home this Saturday, September 10th at 2:00 PM.
