Lakers Men's Soccer Scrap Out Victory over Hawkeye

The Iowa Lakes Men's Soccer Team took to the field this evening against ICCAC newcomers Hawkeye Community College. The Lakers opened up the scoring with freshman, Bigirimana Omari, capitalizing on a corner kick by sophomore, Jack Stonehouse. The goal marked Omari's first of the season. Shortly after halftime, freshman, Charlie Hackshall, was substituted in to the game and ended up scoring on his first touch of the ball to make it two goals to none in favor of the Lakers. Hawkeye would attempt a comeback after earning a penalty kick in the closing moments of the game which they converted to end the game at two to one. The Lakers improved their overall record to 11-3 and their conference record to 10-3. The Lakers look to host ICCAC leaders, #4 Iowa Western Community College, this Wednesday, October 12th, at 2:00 PM.
