The Iowa Lakes men's soccer team has finished the regular season and will begin postseason play this Sunday, October 27th. Iowa Lakes finished the season as the third seed so they will host sixth seeded Southeastern in spencer at 3:00 pm.

The Lakers ended the regular season with a record of 6-2-1 behind top seeded Iowa Western and Indian Hills. Their first round match against Southeastern will give the Lakers to avenge one of their two losses. The Lakers fell to Southeastern by a score of 3-2 less than two weeks ago.

Head coach Ben MacRae is looking forward to the rematch, "it was a massive upset when we played them last week, so our boys cannot wait for that game. We should have just about all of our players fit and ready to go, so that will help matters. As we move into the business end of the season this is when we need to be playing our absolute best."

The ICCAC conference tournament is played out over one week.  The top two seeds earn a bye for the first round, with the fourth and fifth seeds playing each other and the third and sixth seeds playing each other in the first round on Sunday, October 27. The second round will be played Wednesday, October 30th. The championship game will be hosted by the top remaining seed on Sunday, November 3rd.

"We have massive expectations for the postseason and thoroughly expect to be playing for the conference title come November. Our boys are ready to show the rest of the conference just how good we can be. We will take each game as it comes, make sure we have done all of our homework, and do everything we possibly can to put ourselves in the best shape to win the game," commented Head Coach Ben MacRae.
