Iowa Lakes Community College scored on 4 of its first six shots on goal to stay undefeated on the season.
The first goal came at the 25th minute of play from Haruya Higuchi as he flashed across goal to tap in a pass from Kasper Wollstein, the second came from Keiji Segiura as he slammed in a rebound from a shot take by Ruadhan Feeney in the 42nd minute. So at the half the Lakes had four shots on goal and two goals. Marshalltown had two shots and no goals. In the second half Haruya finished his brace with a header from a pass from Garbhan Feeney in the 56th minute, then Lander Barrio Gonzalez picked up a lose pass from Marshalltown, dribbled past the keeper and finished in the 66th minute. Overall the #1 team got 12 cornerkicks to 0, got 18 shots to 6, an came away with a very efficient win. Next up, Iowa Central in Spencer on Saturday October 12th.
