On a calm and beautiful day in Spencer, IA. A great game was played. For the first 18 minutes fairly even with the Iowa Lakes taking 4 shots and Iowa Central 2, however that was the only two shots for the visitors on the day. Just two minutes after entering the match, the adjustment from the Lakers staff paid off when Renato Gonzalez scored the eventual game winner, on a pass from Garbhan Feeney. Then one minute later Sam Storey found Kasper Wollstein for the first of his hat trick on the day. Sam also made a brilliant assist to Keiji Segiura in the 32nd minute. The second half Kasper scored twice, in the 59th minute on Garbhan's 2nd second assist, then in the 66th from Shaiyon Johnson.
Now with just three games left in the next 2 weeks the pressure of an undefeated season is mounting. It will be interesting to see if this group of young men can live up to expectations and return to the top of the hill in NJCAA, as the compete in the ultra-competitive ICCAC.
