The Lakers took on the 6^th seeded Knights from CCBC Essex in the final game of the group stage, with the winner going to the semifinals. CCBC Essex scored on an Iowa Lakes miss communication and led the rest of the half. After halftime, the Lakers tied it up when sophomore Haruya Higuchi found the back of the net off of a brilliantly placed ball by sophomore Keiji Segiura. The game stayed tied to end regulation, leading to the first 10-minute golden goal period. In the 96^th minute, Segiura found the back of the net when freshman Sam Storey sent a pass that led Segiura to score the golden goal. The Lakers move into the semifinals on Thursday November 21^st where they will take on 2^nd seeded Neosho County  in a district final rematch.
