Laker Men's Swim & Dive fall to Barton and Iowa Central

The Laker men competed in a double dual meet against Barton Community College and Iowa Central Community college Friday night. They were unable to come up with a win and fell to Iowa Central 123 to 69 and lost to Barton CC 103 to 82. Although they lost the Men were still able to pull down five wins. Hylton Collinson won the 200 free and the 500 free with ease. Lucas Stith was able to win the 100 breast and the 100 back. The last first place finish came from AJ Cervantes in 1 meter diving. Some other notable finishes came from Eric Medina Jr. in the 1 meter diving, Parker Tompkins taking fourth in the 1000 yard freestyle, Gabriel Carmona took second in the men 200 yard individual medley.  The team of Stith, Collinson, Carmona, and Tompkins took second in the 200 medley relay.

"Overall it was a good first meet, I am very happy with how the team competed. We came out strong and continued giving it their best. We know what we need to work on so we can continue to improve and build momentum through the season," said Coach Miranda Anderson.

The Lakers will head to Saint Mary's University of Minnesota Oct. 28th and will be at home Nov 4th against Morningside College.
