Laker Men Fall to Mustangs in First Home Meet

The Laker Men competed against Morningside college Nov 4th for thier first home meet of the season. The Laker men were able to take away 6 -first place finishes, 3 -second place finishes, 2 -third place finishes. The men started off the meet with a win in the 400 medley relay by almost 20 seconds over the competition with the team of Lucas Stith, Gabriel Carmona, Hylton Collinson, and Parker Tompkins. Collinson was able to continue his undefeated season winning both his events. Stith came up a little short in the 100 fly being out-touched in the closest race of the meet but was able to battle back and win the 500 free by nearly 25 seconds. Carmona had a great mile despite some slight confusion toward the end of the race, while teammate Tompkins was able to grab third place in an off event for him. 

The divers continue to improve every meet and AJ Cervantes won the 1 meter continuing to close in on the school record. Eric also had a great meet and was able to achieve the qualifying mark for Nationals in the event with a second place finish. 

 

The Lakers will head to the Rodger Ahlman Invitational Nov. 11th at Macalaster College in St. Paul, MN meet starts at 1pm. 

The men will be home again Jan. 6th to take on Iowa Central.
