Collinson and Stith Break Records at Rochester Invite

This past weekend the Laker Men swim and dive team competed in the Rochester Invite. 

The meet started for the men with Hylton Collinson, Lucas Stith, and Gabriel Carmona taking first, second, and twentieth in the 400 IM. Stith returned to action in the 100 backstroke where he took 13th. Carmona took 19th in the 100 breastroke dropping time and getting a lifetime best time in the process. Collinson was able to get a first place finish in the 200 fly and in the process getting the school record which he held from the previous year. Eric Medina took on the 100IM and was able to drop time in finals from prelims. The 200 IM was a bit of a closer race than the 400 IM but Collinson was able to pull out another win, Stith managed a fifth place finish, and Carmona took 16th once again dropping huge amounts of time. Stith took on the 200 backstroke in prelims broke the school record and then dropping a bit more time in finals was able to break the school record again while picking up a 3rd place finish. Collinson was able to out-touch the competition for his fourth and final first place of the meet in the 200 Breaststroke, while teammate Carmona was able to take 14th. Eric Medina took 14th in the 1 meter diving while teammate AJ Cervantes took 12th.   

The men will be back in action Jan 6th at home with the meet starting at 2pm.
