Big Finals Day

Day Three of the National Championship ended in some hardware! 

To start off the day, Sophomore Rylee Valentine dominated the 100 Individual Medley, she landed a finals time with 1:16.02 and ended the day with a 1:14.19 she palced 14th overall! in Day 4, she takes on the 200 Back!

Freshmen Joao Rorigues and Pedro Brandao both competed in the 100 IM, Rodrigues landing in 17th Place with a time of 1:04.65. Brandao placed 9th in the prelims and swam in B Finals, his best time in the 100 IM is a 55.24.

Sophomore Madison Otto took on the 500 Free, she gained a position in B-finals with a time of 6:59.01. She maintained her time in the finals race and placed 14th overall!

Freshman Luis Ramirez-Armas and Sophomore Brady Noel competed in the 500 Free as well. Ramirez-Armas finishing the race in 6:04.12. Noel dropping 20.62 seconds to end his race in 5:33.69, a season best!

Sophomore Caleb Rubitschung competed well in the 100 Breast, placing 19th with a time of 1:12.71 dropping 4.69 seconds! Brandao moving on into A-Finals with a time of 58.12, and racing his heart out to earn an 8th place Medal in the 100 Breast! 

Your Laker Men's 200 Medley Relay pulled off an amazing race! Starting of with Rubitschung's backstroke at a 30.73 leading into Brandao's breaststroke at a 26.51 created a great start for Rodrigues's Fly at a 25.67 and Freshman Caleb hodge bringing it all home sprinting in at a 22.64. Their entry time was a 1:50.12 and they finsihed out the day dropping 4.57 seconds earning a time of 1:45.55. Your Laker relay placed 7th in the nation earning a medal for their hard work. 

Congratulations Lakers on an amazing day! The final day starts bring and early at 9:30 on Saturday morning!
