Johnson is in her first year as a graduate assistant with the Laker softball program. 

Johnson began her playing career at Cottey College in 2019. Some of her career stats include a .386 batting average, 239 hits, 74 doubles, 32 home runs, and 199 runs batted in. She holds multiple single-season records for the Comets such as doubles and runs batted in. Johnson was NAIA player of the week on two occasions, 5-time All-Conference, 2-time All-Region, 2023 American Midwest Conference Player of the Year, 2023 & 2024 NAIA 2nd-team All-American, 2024 NFCA 1st-team All-American, and 2024 Diamond Sports/NFCA Catcher of the Year. She helped the Comets to 2 AMC Conference Championships and 4 consecutive NAIA World Series Opening Rounds appearances. 

Johnson graduated from Cottey College in 2024 with a Bachelor's in Health and Biomedical Science and is pursuing her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Capella University.
