(Emmetsburg, Iowa) On September 6, the Lakers opened the 2023 fall season with a 500 target trap match in the ICCAC League vs. Iowa Western at Sportsmen's Gun Club near Cylinder, IA.  Iowa Western broke 478x500 to 446x500 for Iowa Lakes. The top five shooters for Iowa Lakes were: Brady Abkes 92, Camoran Fick 92, Wyatt Schwenker 90, Kendall Umscheid 87, and Mackenzie Schnetzer 85. Brady Abkes and Wyatt Schwenker both shot perfect 25x25 on the first trap.

In the Women's individual competition, Kendall Umscheid tied for the 3rd place award with 87x100 but lost in the reverse run tie breaker 0 to 1. 

The next 500 target match will be at home in Cylinder vs. Northwest Iowa (Sheldon) on Saturday, September 16 starting at 10:00 am.
