Iowa Lakes Edges NICC 469 to 468 in the ICCAC Trap League

(Emmetsburg, Iowa) Iowa Lakes shot 469x500 to edge out NICC (Sheldon) who shot 468x500 by 1 target. The win at Iowa Lakes home club, Sportsman's Park, near Cylinder, IA improves Iowa Lakes to 1 win and 1 loss in the Western Division of the ICCAC Trap League. The top 5 shooters for Iowa Lakes were:  Brady Abkes 97, Chase Young 97, Kendall Umscheid 93, Cameron Fick 93 and Wyatt Schwenker 89.

 

In the individual men's competition Brady Abkes took the 1st place medal with 97x100 and a reverse run of 33, Chase Young took the 2nd place medal with 97x100 and a reverse run of 14. In the individual women's competition Kendall Umscheid took the 1st place medal with 93x100, Mackenzie Schentzer took the 2nd place medal with 87x100, and Haily Green took the 3rd place medal with 80x100.

 

Chase Young had a perfect 50x50, Brady Abkes had two perfect 25x25s, Cameron Fick had a perfect 25x25, and Mackenzie Schnetzer had a perfect 25x25.

 

Coach Kalsow said "The Sports Shooting Team has really worked hard in the last 10 days. They improved by 23 targets over their score vs Iowa Western 10 days ago."

 

The next 500 target match is scheduled for September 30, 2023 vs. Ellsworth at home starting at 10:00 am.
