(Emmetsburg, Iowa) The Iowa Lakes Sports Shooting Team shot 468x500 to 264x300 for Ellsworth at the Palo Alto Gun Club on Saturday, 9/30/23 to improve their record to 2 wins and 1 loss in the Western Division of the ICCAC Trap League. The top 5 shooters for the Lakers were: Brady Abkes 98, Kendall Umscheid 95, Cameron Fick 93, Taylor Shiflett 93 and Mackenzie Schnetzer 89.
In the individual women's competition Kendall Umscheid won the gold medal with 95, and Mackenzie Schnetzer took the bronze medal with 89. In the individual men's competition Brady Abkes won the gold medal with 98, Cameron Fick took the silver medal with 93 and a reverse run of 38 and Taylor Shiflett took the bronze medal with 93 and a reverse run of 13.
Brady Abkes had two perfect 25x25s, Cameron Fick and Taylor Shiflett each had one perfect 25x25.
The Lakers next ICCAC trap shoot is Saturday, October 7th in Fort Dodge, IA at 12:00pm vs Iowa Central CC.
