Iowa Lakes Sports Shooting falls to Iowa Central

(Emmetsburg, IA)  On a very windy day In their final home shoot of the 2024 ICCAC Trap League, the Lakers shot 431x500 to 468x500 for Iowa Central. The loss gives the Lakers a record of 2 wins and 2 losses in the Western Division of the ICCAC Trap League. The top 5 shooters for the Lakers were: Jacob Grau-West 97, Tristen Werner 89, Blake Bresler 88, Paul Van Dover 86, and Caleb Hodge 71.

 

In the men's individual competition, the Lakers Jacob Grau-West won the gold medal with a lone 97x100 beating out Iowa Central's Cody Dickerson by 1 target. In the women's individual competition, the Lakers Cidney Tidgren took home her third medal of the season this time a bronze to go with her silver and gold medals.

 

The Lakers travel on Tuesday, Oct. 15th to Alexandria, MN to compete in the MCAC regional face-to-face trap shoot. Approximately 250 community college athletes from 20 colleges will compete. The shoot is scheduled to start at 10:00 am and is a 100 target match with 50 shot in the morning and 50 shot in the afternoon.

 

The Lakers final shoot in the 2024 fall season is the SCTP/DNR State Championship in Waukee, IA on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024. The Lakers 2 squads are scheduled to shoot their 100 trap targets at noon and 1:00 pm.
