The Iowa Lakes Sport Shooting Team shot in their initial competition vs. SWCC on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at the High Lake Gun Club near Creston, IA. The traveling team roster consisted of 8 men and 3 women. Ethan Collins shot a near perfect 99x100 to take the Gold Medal in the men's division. Raeann Krull was high the high Laker lady with 82x100.

Our team score of 456x500:  Ethan Collins 99, Thomas Kotewa 91, Thomas Crocoll 91, Brennan Duhn 90, and Sean Greiner 85 was only 6 targets behind the  SWCC score of 462x500. Ethan's 99x100 was a personal best, Thomas Crocoll had a 50 straight, and Kylee McGurk had a personal best of 23x25.

"This was our first competition and I think some of our shooters were a little nervous. We need to work on this and concentrate on shooting one target at a time," Coach Kalsow stated.

Our next shoot is at home vs. Iowa Western on Saturday, September 29, 2018. The shoot starts at 11:00 am at the Palo Alto Gun Club just north of Cylinder, IA.
