The Iowa  Lakes Sport Shooting Team competed in the American Trap event at the ACUI Upper Midwest Regional Championship on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019 in Grand Island, NE. There were 4 events: American Trap, American Skeet, Sporting Clays and Super Sporting. The Lakers only competed in American Trap and finished in 7th place out of 15 trap teams with score of 435x500. Our team members were: Kolby Kendall 92, Alex Smith 89, Nick Egeland 87, Levin Aanonson 84, and Tom Crocoll 83.

There were 3 teams competing in the American Trap event from our ICCAC conference: Iowa Western 477x500, Iowa Lakes 435x500, South West CC 372x500. There were a total of 211 collegiate shooters competing in American Trap. Kolby Kendall's 92x100 was tied for 31st place out of 153 collegiate men.

This was the final event for the fall season for Iowa Lakes Sports Shooting Team. Our ICCAC conference team record stands at 3-1.  The Lakers won a total of 12 individual medals in our 4 fall conference face-to-face meets: 3 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze in the men's division and 1 gold, 2 silver, and 3 bronze in the women's division.

"I know our team was disappointed with their shooting in Grand Island, but the team had a great fall," commented Coach Kalsow.
