The Lakers win on the road tonight at Central 69-54. The Lakers had four figures in double figures for the second game in a row. The Lakers were led by Mia Wassink with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Marisela Perez added 14 points, Lemia Ntor-Ue added 12 points and Marissa Ruiz added 11 points.
"It was a good win for the team tonight. I thought the girls shared the ball well and were very unselfish. This team continues to improve every day. I feel like we are in a good place as we enter conference play," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin.
The Lakers are 5-9 on the season and 0-0 in conference play. The Lakers are back in action on Saturday, January 13th at 1:00pm vs Southwestern as they begin conference play. The Lakers return to home on Saturday, January 20th when they host Kirkwood at 1:00pm.
