The Lakers fall in final regular season game to Southeastern 71-66. The Lakers were led Lemia Ntor-Ue with 19 points, Mia Wassink with 16 points, Marissa Ruiz with 15 points, and Marisela Perez with 10 points.
"Tough loss today on sophomore day. It was one of those days where are shots were not falling. We had a lot of great looks that didn't fall. Overall I thought our kids played hard and competed for 40 minutes. We will re-group and get ready for the tournament. It was a special day today as we honored our six sophomores. I am very thankful I had the opportunity to coach such a great group of young ladies and am going to miss them. I cannot thank them enough for what they have meant to the women's basketball program as well as Iowa Lakes," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin.
The Lakers are 13-17 on the season and 6-8 in conference play. The Lakers earned the 6th seed and will travel to Fort Dodge to take on the 3 seed Iowa Central at 5:30pm.
