Breanna Wendland was named the ICCAC (Iowa Community College Athletic Conference) player of the week for the Lakers.

Wendland was one assist shy of a triple-double against Dordt JV with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists. The following weekend in the Northeast Community College Hawk Classic, Wendland put up 31 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists against Mount Marty JV in an overtime win. Wendland helped Iowa Lakes defeat Northeast for the first time on their home floor recording 20 points and 6 rebounds. Wendland is averaging 24 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per contest for the 2018-19 season.

"This is a tremendous honor for Bre and our team. She has really stepped up and been very consistent. I'm excited to see her continue to improve as the season progresses," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin

The Lakers are currently 4-1 on the season and 0-0 in conference play.  The Lakers are back in action on Saturday, November 17th when they host Grandview JV at 1pm.
