The Iowa Lakes Women's Basketball team defeated Minnesota West by a score of 95-65.  The Lakers were led by Breanna Wendland with 24 points, Shareece Smith with 19 points, and Bethany Rehse with 17 points.

The Lakers started hot scoring 24 in the first quarter. They kept that momentum going to build a 50-30 lead going into halftime.  The Lakers were able to maintain their lead throughout the second half.

"I thought our kids responded really well today. That is the best I have seen our offense look. The ball was moving side to side and we really shared it. We got some good defensive stops today and were able to get out in transition and convert," commented Coach Martin.

The Lakers are 6-2 on the season and 0-0 in conference play. The Lakers next home game is Monday, November 25th when they host Northwestern JV out of Orange City, IA at 5:30pm.
