Iowa Lakes defeated Iowa Central 76-34 in their conference opener. The Lakers were led by Shareece Smith and Tyler Pacheco with 13 points a piece. Brianna O'Donnell added 12 points.
"Great team effort tonight. I am very proud of this group. This is a great start to conference play. I thought our kids played really hard tonight and were focused. Did a lot of good things defensively and we moved the ball on the offensive end," commented Coach Martin.
The Lakers are 9-3 on the season and 1-0 in conference play. The Lakers return to action on Saturday, December 7th when they travel to Cedar Rapids, IA to take on Kirkwood.
