Iowa Lakes defeats Southwestern 57-49. The Lakers were led by Breanna Wendland with 19 points, Shareece Smith with 13 points, and Safiyer Coleman added 12 points.
"Our kids were very excited to play tonight after being on break. It was good to get our first game back under our belt. Our thought our kids played with a lot of energy. I thought we had a lot of good contributions tonight; it was a good team win," commented Coach Martin.
The Lakers are 11-4 on the season and 2-1 in conference play. The Lakers return to action on Saturday, January 11th when they host Southeastern Community College at 1:00pm.
