Iowa Lakes Women’s Basketball vs Southeastern Game Time Changed

The Iowa Lakes Women's basketball team hosts Southeastern on Saturday, January 15th. The game time will be moved to 5pm.

The Lakers are coming off an exciting 79-78 win over NIACC and looking to extend their 4-game win streak.  The matchup with Southeastern will be the second time the two have met this season. Iowa Lakes won the last matchup 61-50 in Keokuk. 

The Lakers are currently 12-5 on the season, and 6-1 in ICCAC play. They are led by Sophomore, Jaeda Whitner, who is scoring 19.1 points per game and averaging 4.5 assists per contest on the season. Other key contributors for the Lakers are Rachel Breck and Brielle Bartelt. Breck is averaging 11.3 points per game, and 7.8 rebounds per game this season. Bartelt is averaging 8.8 points per game and shooting 37% from 3. 

The Iowa Community College Athletic Conference currently has 3 teams in the top 20. Kirkwood is currently 2nd, Iowa Western is 9th, and Iowa Central is ranked 20th. In addition, the Iowa Lakes Women's Basketball team is receiving votes.  

The game will be played in Laker Gymnasium and will tip at 5:00 pm.
