Estherville, IA- The Iowa Lakes Women's Basketball team moved to 4-4 on the season with a pair of victories in Lincoln, NE this weekend.
In the first game the Lakers defeated Southeast CC 69-65. The Lakers were led by Tayona Keys with 15 points. Jordyn Stokes and Emma Kanz each added 14 points.
In the second game of the weekend the Lakers would knock off Central CC 78-57. The Lakers were led by Emma Kanz with 22 points, Jordyn Stokes added 14 points and Tayona Keys added 12 points.
"Really proud of the team this weekend. We are seeing a lot of growth and improvement each day. We got great contributions from everyone this weekend. Overall great team wins," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin.
The Lakers are 4-4 on the season. The Lakers begin conference play on Saturday, December 2nd at 1:00pm when they take on Northeast CC in Norfolk, NE. The Lakers next home game is Wednesday, December 6th vs Anoka Ramsey at 5:30pm.
