The Lakers win close battle on the road over Marshalltown Tigers 56-53.

The Lakers were led by Paige Martin with 15 points. Zoey Wooten and Morgan Bednarek both added 12 points a piece.

Marshalltown was led by Shenell Stewart with 17 points.

"Really proud of our team tonight. We really battled together as a team and stayed together through adversity. Really made plays in the fourth quarter and got critical defensive stops, Was really proud of the heart and grit we showed tonight. This team continues to improve," commented Head Coach Ashley Martin.

The Lakers are 8-12 on the season and 3-6 in conference play.  The Lakers return to action on Wednesday, January 22nd when they travel to Fort Dodge, IA to take on Iowa Central at 5:30pm. The Lakers next home game is Wednesday, February 5th vs Marshalltown CC at 5:30pm.
