Two Iowa Lakes Community College women's golfers were named to the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Division II Women's Golf All-Region teams.
Freshmen Abby Brooks and Leah Becker were both named to the ICCAC All-Region 2nd Team.
Abby Brooks – All-Region 2nd Team
"Abby had a great freshman year! I don't think Abby ever knew how gifted she is until she finished 7th at districts and qualified for the national championship. Through the course of the year, she went through some small swing changes and growing pains. She finished her freshman year with a scoring average of 89.0 and finished in the top 10 in five tournaments! I have high expectations for Abby's sophomore season," said Coach Myers.
Leah Becker- All Region 2nd Team
"Leah's work ethic and athleticism allowed her to improve very quickly. We spent a lot of time on her short game this year. Like every player, she had some days/weeks where she struggled with her swing. In those times, she worked her tail off to fight through it! Leah finished the year with a 92.4 scoring average. She finished top 10 at districts, her best finish of her collegiate career, which also qualified her for the national championship," said Coach Myers.
