Head coach Cody Alesch was happy with his team's performance as the close out the semester. He had this to say after his team's win "Every conference dual we have is going to require tremendous amounts of fight, hard work, and grit in order to win and that was evident tonight. Iowa Central is a good team and we knew that coming in we'd have our work cut out for us the boys rose to the occasion. Any time you push the pace of the match and your opponent is reacting to you good things will happen and that's what we did tonight." The Lakers take the mat again on January 8th against NIACC in Estherville.
