In a dominate performance of MN West the Laker Wrestlers were able to win 5 of the 6 contested matches. The Lakers got win from freshman Daniel Porter at 125 lbs, Deville Dentis at 149 lbs, Tavoris Smith at 157 lbs, Austin Hinzman, and Drew Kirkpatrick at 184 lbs. Laker wrestlers were able to capitalize on the opportunities four Lakers received forfeits, combined with several several bonus point victories.  

Coach Alesch is excited with the direction the team is headed. "When we're this the post season it critical that we are firing on all cylinders. The team has been working hard and working on improve in key positions and we saw a lot of improvement in those areas tonight. We're looking forward to keeping this momentum going and having a strong showing at the last two events of the year before the Regional Tournament."

The Laker wrestlers will compete again on February 1st when they travel to Sioux City to wrestle at the Dave Edmunds Open hosted by Morningside College and they wrestle at home again when they host the Regional Tournament on February 16th
