Lakers fall to #2 NIACC

Lakers fall to #2 NIACC

In their last dual of the year the Laker wrestler fell to a strong NIACC team who is currently ranked second in the country. The Lakers however were able to get wins from Miles Knuckles at 133 lbs, Dyllon Bernard at 141 lbs, and Logan Koedam at 184 lbs.

Despite the loss Head Coach Cody Alesch is encountered by the way his team is wrestling moving into the post season when he had this to say "At this point of the season we  need to be wrestling our best, and even though there are some technical things we will address, the attitudes, and efforts of the entire team is where they need to be. Our conference is very competitive, and every dual is going to be a battle and that was extremely evident tonight. NIACC has a strong team and they have been wrestling well all year, and they came to battle tonight. We're looking forward to our Regional and National tournaments where our efforts all year will pay off."

The Laker wrestlers will compete again on February 16th at 10 am when they host the Regional Tournament and they conclude their season on March 6th &7th at the NJCAA National Tournament in Council Bluffs, IA
