In the home opener, the Laker wrestling team fell to NIACC 35-9. There were a few bouts in the balance that the Lakers were unable to prevail in ultimately making the dual out of reach. With this in mind, Coach Meyer remains optimistic about the results. "NIACC wrestled well but I'm encouraged by some progress we've made in specific areas as well as overall results. Phil has been developing at an impressive rate, and we're excited his day-to-day training has taken a step up and we're seeing that reflected in his results in competition."
