The Art Kraft Invite was packed with excitement and fierce competition. Wrestlers from some of the top junior colleges across the Midwest made their way to Triton College to test themselves against one another. With 6 teams ranked in the top 20 in the country as well as 25 wrestlers who were ranked in the top 10 it is surely a great test.

With the 7-place winners, many matches went the Lakers way. At 125 lbs Dominic Chimeno found his groove early on scoring early and often and ultimately finished 4-2 on the day took home 6th place. at 141 pounds Jadyn Friedrichs won his first three matches, before falling in the semi-finals finishing the day in 3rd place.

Other place winners for the Lakers include Elijah Halton who took 8th at 133 lbs, William Penn who took 5th at 149 lbs, La Travion Agu who placed 7th at 157 lbs, Etheend Deyampert finished in 6th place at 184 lbs and Phiilip Malone took home 5th place at Heavyweight.

Overall, the tournament was an awesome showcase of talent and a thrilling experience for the entire team, and a great way to wrap up the first semester, and springboard the team into the second semster
