Today, Iowa Lakes faced Anoka Ramsey Community College in Spencer, IA at 5:00 PM. 

The Lakers came out strong with a 9-1 victory. They started the game off strong, scoring early in the 18th minute. Maddy put the Lakers on the board unnassisted to start their attack.

The Lakers scored 4 goals in the first half, Tessa Calabria with two goals (30, 35 min.), Maddy Duncan with one (18 min.), and Ana Lima with one (39 min.).

In the second half the Lakers knocked 5 goals on the board, Tessa with another two (48, 50 min.), Maddy with two (76, 87 min.) and Ana with one (83 min.).

"It was a great start to our season and a great way to start off at home. It took us about 10 minutes to settle into the game, but as soon as we did, we looked comfortable and I think that showed in the score line." Viedenkamp said.

The Lakers will face Indian Hills and Dodge City next Friday and Saturday (September 1, 2) in Ottumwa, IA.
