Lakers take two this Weekend

After a tough 1-0 loss to Hawkeye on Wednesday, the Laker women bounced back with two wins this weekend. The first game of the weekend was on Friday in Ottumwa, Iowa, where the Lakers faced Cisco College. The Lakers won 2-1 over the Wranglers. Freshman, Amelia Kimble, and freshman Ana Zamorano scored the two goals for the Lakers in the 2-1 win.

Moving to Saturday's conference matchup against Southeastern CC, the Lakers took the victory 11-0. Leading the Lakers was freshman Ronniellia Bubb and freshman Ameila Kimble, who both had three goals apiece. Sophomore Rania Nurr-Mecca added two of her own to the stat sheet. Freshmen, Amelie Prie, Stina Mathews, and Balaghni Ines all added a goal in the Lakers victory. Ines had three assists, Nurr-Mecca had two assists, and Catherine Dickinson, Ronniellia Bubb, and Mary Guirieoulou all had an assist as well. The Lakers move to 8-4 overall and 2-1 in conference. Their next game is Wednesday, October 2nd against Northwest Iowa CC.
