The Lakers faced off against the Thunder from Northwest Iowa Community College, for the first time in the Thunder's soccer history. The Thunder just couldn't get any offensive traction in the 13-0 loss to the Lakers. The Lakers got off to another quick start scoring the first goal within the first 5 minutes of the first half. Freshman Ronniellia Bubb quickly added another goal to her season total and gave the Lakers the early 1-0 lead. That only started the momentum for the Lakers. Bubb would add 3 more goals to her season total, as did freshman Amelia Kimble, who scored 4 goals in today's 13-0 win. Sophomore Rania Nurr-Mecca had 2 goals and an assist on the day, and freshmen Amelie Prie, Stina Mathews, and Ana Zamorano all added a goal of their own to the Lakers score column. Bubb also had 2 assists on the day, as did Zamorano. The Lakers move to 9-4 overall and 3-1 in the conference. Their next game is Saturday October 5^th against Marshalltown CC.
