Kasper Wollstein – Iowa Lakes – Freshman – Forward
Kasper Wollstein is coming off a MVP performance in the Region 11 Tournament. In two games Wollstein managed to gather one goal and two assists, all three of which came in a 6-0 win over Western Iowa Tech in the semifinals. In the Region 11 Championship game Wollstein registered three shots but none found the back of the net. Iowa Lakes were forced to head to the penalty spot after a 2-2 draw at the end of overtime. Despite the lack of goals for Wollstein he stepped up as the crucial penalty taker, with a chance to win the Championship for his team. He slotted the penalty away and beat No. 1 seeded Northeast and gave Iowa Lakes their first-ever Region 11 Tournament title.
Louis Krüger – Iowa Lakes – Freshman – Goalkeeper
Louis Krüger was named to the All-Tournament team following a solid Region 11 Tournament. He found himself a clean sheet against Western Iowa Tech in the semifinals. Unfortunately Krüger was under the weather for the Championship game against No. 1 Northeast. However, at the end of overtime the game was 2-2 and went to penalties. Confident that he would make stops during a shootout Krüger was subbed into the game for Connal Doran. Krüger did just what was asked and made a crucial save. The Lakers won the penalties 4-2 and picked up the Region 11 hardware.

Rania Nurr-Mecca – Iowa Lakes – Sophomore – Forward
Region 11 Tournament MVP Rania Nurr-Mecca of Iowa Lakes scored the sole goal in a 1-1 tied game with Hawkeye in the Championship match. The goal Nurr-Mecca scored was the first of the game and put the Lakers up 1-0 before Hawkeye equalized. The goal put Nurr-Mecca at 11 goals scored for the entire season and eight assists. If it were not for Nurr-Mecca's goal the Lakers would have likely lost the Region 11 Tournament, but because of it they were able to prevail on penalties over a tough Hawkeye team. Now the next challenge for Nurr-Mecca and the Lakers will be competing for a district title after just winning their first-ever Region 11 Title.
Katerine Flores – Iowa Lakes – Sophomore – Goalkeeper
Katerine Flores was named goalkeeper of the Region 11 Tournament this past week after keeping a crucial clean sheet and coming up clutch in a penalty shootout. In her first match of the tournament Flores was able to knock off the No. 1 team in the tournament, Iowa Central by keeping a clean sheet. Then in the Region 11 Championship game, Flores conceded one goal, but held on to force a penalty shootout with the score at 1-1 at the end of overtime. In the penalty shootout Flores was able to unsettle Hawkeye players enough to come out on top. She helped Iowa Lakes win the penalty shootout 5-4, earning one crucial stop.
