Laker Women Fall to Mustangs

The Laker Women competed against Morningside college Nov 4th for thier first home meet of the season. The Laker women were able to take away 3-first place finishes, 2-second place finishes, 3-third place finishes. They were able to end the meet on a high note by winning the 400 freestlye relay. Gabriela had a standout meet taking first in the 100 back out touching the competition and took second in the mile as well as holding off the competition in the relay.

"The women were swimming tired and it showed. They had a really hard couple of weeks of practice and they have been traning so hard that saturday came and they just had nothing in thier tanks. Right now I think that is a good thing! Even with the fatigue they still pushed through and put up some really good times. I am looking forward to midseason to see how fast they go when they are rested, they are going to be fast," said Coach Miranda Anderson.

The Laker women will head to the Rodger Ahlman Invitational Nov. 11th at Macalaster College in St. Paul, MN meet starts at 1pm.

The women will be home again Jan. 6th to take on Iowa Central.
